Welcome back to the new semester!
Lambda is taking an inventory. We are looking into what we do, how we do it, and we are restructuring who we are. And we are looking for your help!
Tuesday, January 28, we had a wonderful meeting listening to the voices in the community and the voices of our general members, and we know what we do that works, what we do that doesn’t work, and what needs to be focused on in the future. Looking to the future, we are holding a second meeting to help bring this process through this step and we would like your help again.
Tuesday, February 4, we are holding a final general meeting for this. We are looking to build a plan of action with our community and our general members that ensures that we help answer the insights you all brought us.
Following this meeting, we are going to hold a two week special election to put in place a new board to bring this plan of action to fruition. This will take place February 11 and 18. On February 11, we will have all candidates introduce themselves and explain why they want to be on this board. On February 18, we will have the general members vote to elect the new board of directors.
If you would like to join this board and are dedicated to bring about a wonderful semester for this group, please apply HERE or by paper which can be found HERE or in the Lambda office, UC 209. If you would like a brief description of each position, it can be found in our bylaws or HERE. All applications are due by February 10, and all candidates must attend both meetings to be on the ballot. All questions or concerns, along with hand written applications, can be directed to UC 209 or UMLambda@gmail.com.
